AUGUST
Following a very successful sew-in over the summer solstice and additional support from our customers we will shortly be handing over 120 baby quilts to the Luton & Dunstable Neonatal Baby Unit.
The unit at this time cares for over 650 babies a year. As it is being extended this year the plan is to care for over 850 babies from next year.
We have decided to keep this project as an ongoing one and hope to give the unit a further supply of quilts nearer to Christmas.

the size and style we are hoping to make.
These quilts can be pieced, appliqué or single
block layered and quilted to your choice.
The size to be 15” – 18” by 18” x 22” so a novelty fat quarter is
the ideal place to start.
With support from our customers we hope to be able to make a gift to the Unit of sufficient quilts to allow the nurse to give a quilt to each family attending the unit this summer.
If you cannot sew you can sponsor the sew-in by purchasing some fabric or wadding which will be included in a quilt on your behalf just contact us at the shop.
